The Manitoba Museum recently opened a new exhibit to the public.The Prairies Gallery, which opened yesterday, explores human connections to Manitoba across thousands of years, with an eye to the future.The exhibit features some iconic elements, including the Pronghorn diorama, tipi, and Red River cabin and cart, as well as new immersive experiences. Looking for something fun to do outside with the kids this weekend? Check out the new Aunt Sally’s Farm at the Assiniboine Park & Zoo.Officially open as of this past Thursday, March 25, the new Aunt Sally’s Farm is an ode to the original exhibit which opened in the summer of 1959. The new attraction includes parallel playgrounds where the zoo’s youngest visitors can play alongside goats, bridges with rainbow platforms that encourage goats to climb overhead, and the wishing well from the original Aunt Sally’s Farm.The new Aunt Sally's Farm is not a petting zoo, and reflects a commitment to modern standards of animal care and welfare.
